My wife and I moved into the village in 1970 bringing up two daughters who both attended our local school and Church. I have served on the Parish Council for some fifteen years always appreciating the rural way of village life we have here and strive to keep it this way.
My concerns at this time are increasing traffic movements through the village from large polo yards in Ambersham, the infill at Pendean, Halkhurst farm, road traffic accidents on the 286,and the silting and health of Costers Brook.

We moved to West Lavington over eight years ago, but I’ve been a frequent visitor to the Midhurst area throughout my life having grown up in Hawkley and attended school near Petersfield. I am new to the parish council in 2015 but I am looking forward to representing local people to ensure we preserve all that’s best about the parish as well as providing a sustainable future for the those that live and work here. I am a regular commuter to London for work so I relish the weekends here with my family and slightly unruly Labrador!

Mark has lived and worked in Midhurst since 1982. Three of his four children started their education at the convent. In 2008 he moved to West Lavington with his dog Maysie. Their house is to the south of the parish where they can enjoy unspoilt views of the South Downs.
In their spare time Mark and Maysie enjoy walks amongst the beautiful countryside that surrounds West Lavington.
Mark is committed to protecting the rural nature of West Lavington from creeping urban sprawl.

We moved to the Village from London 12 years ago when my daughter was just a baby and now I cannot imagine living in a city ever again. Having spent many years as a management consultant, I now work part time helping young people to develop their employability skills. You are most likely to bump into me walking our dogs on the common. Living alongside Costers Brook I am particularly interested in all matters to do with preserving the integrity of our local environment, especially the watercourse.
